電磁閥是用來控制流體的自動化基礎(chǔ)元件，屬于執(zhí)行器；并不限于液壓，氣動。電磁閥用于控制液壓流動方向，工廠的機械裝置一般都由液壓鋼控制，所以就會用到電磁閥。電磁閥里有密閉的腔，在的不同位置開有通孔，每個孔都通向不同的油管，腔中間是閥，兩面是兩塊電磁鐵，哪面的磁鐵線圈通電閥體就會被吸引到哪邊，通過控制閥體的移動來檔住或漏出不同的排油的孔，而進油孔是常開的，液壓油就會進入不同的排油管，然后通過油的壓力來推動油剛的活塞，活塞又帶動活塞桿，活塞竿帶動機械裝置動。這樣通過控制電磁鐵的電流就控制了機械運動。

性管路中的流體必須和選用的電磁閥系列型號中標定的介質(zhì)*。流體的溫度必須小于選用電磁閥的標定溫度。電磁閥允許液體粘度一般在20CST以下，大于20CST應注明。工作壓差，管路zui高壓差在小于0.04MPa時應選用如直動式和分步直動式；zui低工作壓差大于0.04MPa時可選用先導式壓差式電磁閥；zui高工作壓差應小于電磁閥的zui大標定壓力；一般電磁閥都是單向工作，因此要注意是否有反壓差，如有安裝止回閥。流體清潔度不高時應在電磁閥前安裝過濾器，一般電磁閥對介質(zhì)要求清潔度要好。注意流量孔徑和接管口徑；電磁閥一般只有開關(guān)兩位控制；條件允許請安裝旁路管，便于維修；有水錘現(xiàn)象時要定制電磁閥的開閉時間調(diào)節(jié)。注意環(huán)境溫度對電磁閥的影響電源電流和消耗功率應根據(jù)輸出容量選取，電源電壓一般允許±10%左右，必須注意交流起動時VA值較高。
