What is the difference between choosing Profibus PA or Foundation Fieldbus?
For the control and diagnosis of process operation, fieldbus is the most suitable network bus. This is because in applications where real-time requirements are high, fieldbuses can provide highly reliable two-way communication between “smart” devices and systems.
However, different fieldbus technologies have different attributes. To maximize the benefits of fieldbuses, you must make the right selection. The two most widely used fieldbuses in process automation are the Foundation fieldbus and Profibus PA. This course will help you determine which fieldbus is best suited to your needs.

The Profibus protocol family is designed for the communication level of PLC systems, mainly used in discrete manufacturing and building automation. It consists of three protocols, each with its own different functions and applications.
